Keeping you informed – vaccination clinics

Next time you’re at Charlton Medical, look around for some of the little labels identifying improvements that are a consequence of suggestions by our patients. We always appreciate your feedback, and we work together as a practice team to find ways to improve our service to you. Complaints and suggestions are discussed at our Quality Improvement Meetings and at Staff Meetings and we attempt to keep you informed of our progress.

A recent form received through the suggestion box in the waiting room lamented that fact that we were no longer running vaccination clinics. In fact, Charlton Medical continues to run these highly popular bulk-billed clinics at least once a month, often more. This patient suggestion made us realise that we need to do more to advertise these clinics to our patients.

What we have done

This is what we have done. In addition to advertising vaccination clinics on our Facebook page, we have added a list of clinics to the website here. In addition, we have a poster at reception letting you know when clinics are available and which vaccines you may have at each one.

Currently we are vaccinating against shingles using Shingrix, and COVID-19 using the new Comirnaty JN.1 formulation. Flu vaccination will commence in early April. Phone reception for appointments.

Thank you to the patient who made this suggestion. It prompted us to improve our communication with you all. There are several ways you can provide feedback and you can read about those here. One of the simplest is to pop a note into the suggestion box you will find in the waiting room. Feedback forms and a pen are available to make this easy for you. We want to hear from YOU. Perhaps in future you will find a little label affixed to your suggestion too!
