COVIDSafe

Charlton Medical has continued operating throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to provide medical services and keep our patients safe. To ensure the safety of our staff, patients and visitors, all Charlton Medical staff and contractors are compliant with the Victorian Chief Health Officer’s Mandatory Vaccination Directions.

We encourage you to continue consulting your GP for any medical concerns and for your routine care. Please book a telehealth appointment if you are unwell with cold or flu-like respiratory symptoms or you think you may have COVID-19.  Patients visiting the practice will be required to wear a mask correctly and to maintain social distancing requirements.  Room limits for each room at Charlton Medical are found on each doorway.  Please do not enter a room if that will mean there are too many people in a space.

All patients and visitors must:

  • wear a face mask covering mouth and nose
  • sanitise hands using handrub
  • comply with room limits
  • remain seated whilst in waiting areas and  not move chairs
  • notify us if you have respiratory symptoms prior to arrival at the practice.

Other changes you may notice include:

  • hand sanitising at each entry
  • glass screens at reception
  • floor marking and spaced seating
  • increased cleaning of high traffic areas
  • face masks for all staff, patients and visitors
  • temporary removal of magazines and children’s furniture
  • the use of an isolation room with a separate entry for the required treatment of patients with respiratory symptoms
