Charlton Medical has been a training practice since 2003 and Dr Webb particularly enjoys both teaching and learning from doctors at the beginning of their careers. Charlton Medical Registrar, Dr Adele van der Merwe, was awarded Rural Registrar of the Year in 2011 in recognition of her dedication, hard work and willingness to go beyond the call of duty after floods affected the Charlton area.
Charlton Medical is affiliated with the medical school at the University of Melbourne and Dr Webb has been teaching medical students since 1996. We believe this improves the standard of care we are able to provide to our patients and contributes to the next generation of doctors. Â Dr Webb believes that he learns as much from medical students as he is able to teach. Â We attempt to offer support, feedback and advice as well as one-on-one teaching and supervised consultation with patients.
We enjoy maintaining a relationship with former students, particularly those who have completed their training as GPs or Specialists and have returned to the region.
