Charlton Medical offers both telephone and video consultations allowing you to access care without leaving your home. Telehealth can be convenient for those who live at some distance from the clinic and also allows us to care for patients with underlying health problems who prefer to reduce unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 and other illnesses. If you have respiratory symptoms, please arrange a telehealth consultation instead of presenting at Charlton Medical.

The receptionist will arrange for your doctor to call you on either your mobile or landline. Appointment times are estimated times only, your consultation maybe slightly before or after the time that you book.

SMS e-token prescriptions have made Telehealth much more convenient as prescriptions can be sent directly to your mobile phone for collection at a pharmacy of your choice at a time convenient to you.

Please be aware that Telehealth is only available if you have been seen in person at Charlton Medical within the last six months. Medicare will rebate a telephone Telehealth consultation for up to 20 minutes and a video Telehealth consultation for up to 45 minutes. At present Charlton Medical continues to bulk bill these services.
Your specialist may also choose to conduct a telehealth consultation with you at Charlton Medical with your GP in attendance. Speak to reception to arrange this.
